for all my english speaking friends!

so, i am in entebbe, uganda, just on the equator in east africa! i`m working in a project called kids of africa, witch is a swiss-african collaboration. (http://www.kids-of-africa.com/) it is a small village with 13 houses for the kids, the workers and the stuff. the kids living in the village are orphan.
i arrived yesterday in the early morning, but it feels like i`ve been friends to the people here sence ever. after a verry rainy night with a lot of lightnings and loud thunders, the weather was quite fresh for my first day at work. i work in the carpenters workshop, and my first project is to make a kitchen into the apartment that`s gone to be mine when it`s done. at the moment i should be working at the drawing, but i toke five minutes to rest, checking emails and write something here... five minutes past ten minutes ago, the internet is pretty slow. but its not a big matter, unlike in switzerland, where ten minutes is a lot of time. here everything seems to be going on a bit slower. pole pole (slow, slow (in swaheli)) is the first thing i learned! but it`s nice, people do have time to socialize and to talk, and i think that is important too!
i`ll post a picture of my apartment when it`s done, because at the moment it doesn`t look nice. until then i`m staying at the farmhouse, where the directors family live. this building is very very beautifull and it has a great view on lake victoria, which is just in front of the village and which you will find on every worldmap, it`s so huge! so, i got to get my drawings done, so we can start to build the kitchen tomorrow, or maybe the day after tomorrow!
